Terrific Terry Wayne CD
28 track collection from 1950s British Rocker Terry Wayne.
Includes the best of his original 45s along with some rockin' demo recordings which are issued here for the first time ever.
Terry might be described at Britain's first Rockabilly Cat. In the 1950s he heard - and recorded - songs like Teenage Boogie and She's Mine, long before most UK Rock 'n' Roll had heard of the originals. Unfortunately many of his covers (recorded at EMI's Abbey Road) did not feature his own band, The Dukes but relied on professional session musicians who failed to grasp what Rockabilly was all about.
This CD, however, includes many previously unreleased recordings by Terry and The Dukes which show what might have been had he been allowed record with his own musicians.
The 24 page booklet with liner notes by Steve Aynsley includes many unpublished photographs.
