When the LP Wide World Hits by The String-A-Longs was originally issued by Atco Records, buyers were not aware that they were actually purchasing an instrumental album by The Fireballs. The band was simply masquerading under a different name at Norman Petty's behest.
This album is the centrepiece of this CD, plus the non-album track Popi which was also issued under the name The String-A-Longs.

After searching the Clovis vaults, an additional five titles were discovered which were originally recorded for the project but not included on the original LP. Here they are correctly credited to the Fireballs and George Tomsco.
Also included are nine more previously unreleased Fireballs’ tracks, making this a veritable feast for the instrumental fan. Complete with liner notes
by the experts at Pipeline Magazine.
