Connie Francis
Lipstick On Your Collar CD
Here are 24 of Connie Francis' rockinest sides, including Stupid Cupid, Fallin’, Lipstick On Your Collar, Plenty Good Lovin’ and Everybody’s Somebody’s Fool.
After three years without commercial success, 19 year old Connie Francis finally cracked the charts in February 1958 with her upbeat rendition of Who’s Sorry Now?, which went on to become a multi-million-selling worldwide hit. Having finally made the breakthrough, she quickly established herself as the most popular female singer of the Rock 'n' Roll era, a status she continued to enjoy into the following decade with a string of worldwide hits, including around twenty million-sellers.
Connie was hugely popular throughout Europe, particularly in Britain where in 1958 she had seven hit records, spending twelve weeks at No.1.
Although it includes many of her most memorable hits, this collection concentrates on Connie Francis' early Rock 'n' Roll styled recordings.
