    Leon McAuliffe
Tulsa Straight Ahead - Gonna Shake This Shack Tonight CD

A magnificent 31 track collection of the very best of Leon McAuliffe's classic period of 1949 to '55, including previously unissued recordings.
Steel guitarist McAuliffe will always be associated with Western Swing legends Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys, with whom he recorded the classic Steel Guitar Rag.
He recorded for various labels, but his classic period was the six years spent with Columbia Records where he cut some of the very best Western Swing ever recorded.  These recordings are highly sought after by fans of early Rock 'n' Roll and Rockabilly for Jump and Boogie tracks that anticipated the coming of Rock 'n' Roll soon after.
Here is the cream of McAuliffe's six year tenure with Columbia, including a previously unissued take of Panhandle Rag and an unissued version of the hard-swinging Hard-Hearted Girl.
